First Online Apartment Purchase Transaction Completed in Belarus
The registration process was handled simultaneously by two state registrars via a secure video conference. During the procedure, the parties confirmed their identities, agreed on the terms, and signed the documents electronically.
Digital tools were used for signing:
- the buyer and seller signed on electronic devices (tablets);
- state registrars certified the documents using electronic digital signatures (EDS).
The legal framework for such transactions became effective following amendments to real estate registration laws that came into force in June 2025.
